Monday Update: Fiction Friday, Search Terms, Troublesome Stories and More.

I'm not quite sure what this picture is depicting, but it has a writer being distracted by a skeleton, so I thought it was fitting.

Good morning, all.

I’ve been neglecting the blog a little bit lately so I’ve decided to start posting a quick personal roundup post every Monday. I’ve been really busy lately and I just haven’t had the time for longer posts. With a weekly update post I can keep engage with the blog and you guys, while keeping things to the essentials.

Fiction Friday:

As you all know, Fiction Friday has been a bit irregular lately, with no story at all for the last three Fridays. I know that’s something I need to get on top of. Last Friday I did write the first draft of the story, but I ran into a little computer trouble and spent the rest of the afternoon trying to sort that out. Everything’s fine now, so I’ll be editing and publishing that story this afternoon sometime.

New Timewasters Short:

This is another project that I’ve been working on for a really long time now. It’s had a few push backs, so I’m going to promise a release date again, but the story is basically finished now. In the past it has changed a lot during the rewrite process, but I’m really happy with the shape it’s in now. I just need to polish it up and release it into the wild. Shouldn’t be too long.

Other Books:

Both of the currently available Timewasters stories were on a free promotion last week. I shifted a lot more copies than normal, and I’m really glad I could get more books onto your kindles. Thanks to everyone who bought copies, I hope you enjoyed the read.

Outside of writing, I’ve been dealing with a lot of personal stuff these last few months. I don’t want to get into to much detail, but with my “day job” confined to the weekends these days, I’ve been trying to make better use of the other five days. I’ve been writing more, which is always good, but I’ve always been looking for more creative ways to engage my mind. Hopefully I’ll have a wider range of things to blog about in the coming weeks.

Altair: Traffic Magnet

Boy, you guys like Assassin’s Creed:

On a final note, I was checking through my blog’s traffic stats this morning, and was surprised to discover that the number one search term bringing people here was Assassin’s Creed. I did review the game and its sequel a few months ago, but for my own satisfaction more than anything else. So it was a shock to discover how much traffic those posts are bringing.
